WESTFIELD, NJ — Meet Jackson! He has been chosen as Westfield Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for New Providence-Berkeley Heights Pet of the Week!

"My 10 year old Jackson, who is a Westie, lives on the south side of Westfield. He has been battling terminal cancer for the last 18 months, but has managed to maintain his spunky personality.

His favorite fun activities are neighborhood walks and car rides. He loves to be showered with attention and has recently discovered that soft serve ice cream is one of his favorite treats."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and what town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
