WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today released the following statement concerning passage of the final House-Senate conference report for the "Water Resources Reform and Development Act”:
“This bipartisan water resources bill passed by the House today is critically important to our local economy in New Jersey. The House-Senate agreement includes important reforms that will cut bureaucratic red tape and better devote resources to the projects and improvements that support more than 20,000 jobs in New Jersey and directly contribute $3.4 billion to our state’s economy. The bill contains no earmarks. And it reaffirms our commitment to our inland waterways and ports, increases American competitiveness globally and proves that that bipartisan and bicameral cooperation is still possible on the big issues that confront America's economy."
