Mars Is New Providence's Pet Of The Week

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Meet Mars! He has been chosen as New Providence-Berkeley Heights Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Mars is the Scotish Fold Ukrainian cat. He traveled all the way from Ukraine to his new home in the U.S. when he was only 4 months old. He even has his own passport.

Mars has a built in alarm and he wakes everybody in the house at 7 a.m. every morning (even weekends). He loves to hang out in the backyard with his friends, the chipmunks and rabbits."

Do you think your pet should be New Providence-Berkeley Heights' Pet of the Week?

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "New Providence-Berkeley Heights Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
