Mass Layoffs Coming To Union County-Based Financial Services Tech Company

The planned layoffs at the Berkeley Heights location are scheduled to begin later this month, according to a WARN filing.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Fiserv Solutions, a global financial services technology company based in Berkeley Heights, is planning to begin cutting 118 jobs later this month.

The layoffs are planned at the company’s site at 100 Connell Drive between March 31 and May 31, according to a WARN notice filed this month.

The Berkeley Heights facility serves as an operations and innovation hub for Fiserv Inc.

The company was recently recognized as one of America’s Most Innovative Companies by Fortune for a fourth consecutive year. It ranked as 208th out of 500.

Under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification law, a company with 100 employees or more must give workers 60 days' notice of a layoff affecting 50 people or more at a single site. In New Jersey, there are additional requirements, including mandatory severance pay.

These layoffs follow 16,758 in the state in 2025, including nearly a third of those — 5,429 — in the final quarter of the year. The fourth-quarter layoff notices included 4,221 job cuts to be completed in 2026.
