Mountainside Home Health Aide Stole, Cashed Checks: Police

A home health aide was charged with stealing more than $2,500 in checks from a resident in Mountainside.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — A home health aide was charged with stealing more than $2,500 in checks from a resident in Mountainside.

Yanaye Jackson, 26, of Paterson reportedly provided home healthcare services through an employing agency to a Mountainside resident.

While there she allegedly took and cashed six medical reimbursement checks, issued to the resident, from the home in the amount of $2,574, Mountainside Police report.

Following an investigation, Jackson was charged on March 29 with six counts of forgery and one count of theft by deception, all in the third-degree by Mountainside Detective Stephen Devito.
