N. Providence, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside Schools Closed

Due to inclement weather and NJ State of Emergency, all New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside schools will be closed on Tuesday.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Due to the inclement weather and New Jersey State of Emergency, all New Providence, Berkeley Heights and Mountainside schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Berkeley Heights has not announced as of 8 p.m. Monday.

Buses from Mountainside to Governor Livingston High School and the Vocational Schools will not run. All after school and evening activities are cancelled.

Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency on Monday night and a winter storm warning was issued for Sussex, Passaic, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties while a winter weather advisory was declared for the rest of the state, except for Cape May County.
