National Green Week Begins Today

Your school has a chance to win $500 worth of eco-kits.

Calling on all educators!

National Green Week 2011, a free K-12 sustainability education (SE) campaign, officially begins this week! It is not too late to enroll to win up to $500 worth of eco-kits. Choose any week starting now through Earth Day (April 22) to participate. Schools that enroll by midnight on Feb. 8 have the opportunity to win a GEF eco-kit worth more than $500!

Over two million students from across the country participated in last year’s event, saving over 100,000 lbs of trash (in just 5 days) and thousands of dollars in school utility bills. Educators are encouraged to take this opportunity to spend time with their students discussing environmental issues and specifically what they can do to make a difference.
