New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside Have Delayed Open

NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — All New Providence, Berkeley Heights and Mountainside schools have a delayed opening on Thursday.

The New Providence High School and Middle School delayed opening start time is 9:45 a.m. The elementary schools' delayed opening start time remains at 10 a.m. All staff must report to their buildings no later than 9:30 a.m.

The kindergarten schedule will be 10 a.m. to noon for the a.m. classes and 1 to 3 p.m. for the p.m. classes. The Pre-Kindergarten a.m. class will not meet on delayed opening days. The Pre-K p.m. class will meet at its regularly scheduled time.

Buses for all students from the Mountainside School District, including vocational students, will arrive two hours later than normal time.
