New Providence Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time
New Providence is having their July 4 celebration a little early this year. Check out the details inside.
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day.
We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around town so you can start planning now.
New Providence has made the decision to celebrate early this year, here are the details:

- What: Independence Day Celebration
- Where: South Street
- When: Wednesday, July 3 at 7:00 p.m.
The New Providence Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by New Providence Business and Investors Bank, returns to the borough on Wednesday, July 3, on South Street from Gales Drive to Springfield Avenue, and will include fun filled activities for all. Our hometown DJ Mike Savage will provide entertainment from his perch on South Street.
There will be “Chalk on South” (kids of all ages can get a free “bucket” of chalk to create art and messages on the street) and lots of fun for the whole family. The event begins at 7 PM and the fabulous fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. . In case of rain, information will be posted on the borough website, www.newprov.org. The rain date is Friday, July 5.
