New Providence Freecycle Returns Sept. 27 For Free Household Goods

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — New Providence residents looking to clear out some clutter — or find something useful — can stop by the borough’s Freecycle event later this month.

Freecycle is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Providence Community Pool parking lot, 1378 Springfield Ave., according to the borough’s official 2026 event flyer. Drop-offs will end at noon.

The event gives people a chance to “shop” for or donate gently used items, including toys, sports equipment and home goods, the flyer says.

The borough’s current Community Activities page also confirms the Sept. 27 date and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. hours. The event is additionally listed on the borough’s September calendar.

For residents, it’s an opportunity to pass along usable belongings instead of throwing them away while potentially taking home something they can use.
