New Providence Has Two of the Best Elementary Schools in NJ

New Providence, NJ -- New Providence has made the list of the Best Elementary Schools in New Jersey according to Niche.com.

Two of New Providence’s elementary schools made the list.

• Allen W. Roberts Elementary School comes in at 41 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.

“It has 648 students in grades PK and K-6,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 90% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

• Salt Brook Elementary School comes in at 45 out 100 and received an “A+” from the website.

“It has 670 students in grades K-6,” the site posted. “According to state standards, 90% of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.”

Schools were ranked based on state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, and the overall quality of the school district.

The top three schools in New Jersey were found in Short Hills: Glenwood Elementary (1), Deerfield Elementary (2) and Hartshorn Elementary (3).
