New Providence Police Officer Position Open
New Providence Police Department announced they are accepting applications for Class II Special Police Officers.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — New Providence Police Department announced they are accepting applications for Class II Special Police Officers.
Applicants must be:
- A U.S. citizen,
- A resident of New Jersey,
- Be at least 18 years of age,
- Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently,
- Possess a high school diploma or its’s equivalent and valid New Jersey Driver’s License,
- Be sound in body and of good health and able to perform the physical functions of the duties assigned,
- Be of good moral character and shall not be convicted of any crime or offense involving dishonesty or which would make him/her unfit to perform the duties of his/her office.
The salary is $25 per hour and there are no health, sick, vacation or personal benefits for this position.

Applications must be picked up in person at New Providence Police headquarters, 360 Elkwood Ave., New Providence.
Upon completion, the application and waiver must be returned, in person, to the New Providence Police Department no later than Oct. 20 by 4 p.m.
