New Providence Police Start Wearing Body Cameras
Uniform and plainclothes officers will have to wear the cameras

NEW PROVIDENCE-- As of Oct. 4, all New Providence police officers will be required to wear body cameras, according to a statement.
The body cameras will record interactions with the public, and must be worn during all traffic stops, arrests, detentions, and criminal investigations.
Both plainclothes and uniformed police officers will be required to wear the cameras.
