Omar Is New Providence's Pet Of The Week

NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Meet Omar! He has been chosen as New Providence/Berkeley Heights Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"I would like to submit my dog, Omar Little, to be Pet of the Week. Omar is an adorable Boston Terrier, named after his owners' favorite TV character from "The Wire".

He just turned 1 on March 31st, loves to play fetch, eat carrots and roll around in the grass on sunny days.

When one of us leaves the house, Omar whimpers a bit and waits at the door for a while before finding a cozy spot in the house to doze off in.

Napping is his all-time favorite activity! Omar is special because he loves people, especially kids. A new trick he's been trying recently is to play Catcher when our neighbors' kids are playing softball in the backyard."

Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
