NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — The water main replacement project on Central Avenue in New Providence will continue over the next few weeks as it progresses toward the business area in between South Street and Pearl Street, police reported.

Currently, the work is being done during the daytime on Central Avenue in between Springfield and Fairview.

To alleviate traffic concerns the work will shift to the overnight hours. Work during these hours will reduce the impact on local businesses, while updating this critical infrastructure.
