Who Were The 9/11 Victims Of New Providence?

We’ve heard the names read aloud every year since the events of Sept. 11, 2001, but who were the New Providence residents who lost their lives that day -

• Gerard J. Coppola

An antenna engineer for WNET, Channel 13, At the World Trade Center’s north tower, Coppola, 46, had a passion for broadcasting since he was a child.

“Gerard was a dreamer,” said his sister, Cynthia, in an interview with the New York Times. “These are the people who are visionaries, who are risk-takers. They dare to listen to their own voices.”

He is survived by his wife, Alice.

• Richard A. Dunstan

A vice president of AON Corporation at the World Trade Center, Dunstan, 54, was a native of Ilford, Essex, England before moving to New Providence, according to Voices of September 11.

• Michael Gogliormella

A technology employee of Cantor Fitzgerald, Gogliormella, 43, grew up in Brooklyn and often made the commute to work together with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years Daniela and daughter, Gillian, according to Voices Of September 11.

• Robert Wayne Hobson III

A broker for Cantor Fitzgerald, Hobson 36, also owned a bar in Hoboken named Hobson’s Bar and Grill in Hoboken.

He was known for his lighthearted nature - so lighthearted that his wife-to-be, Cindy, made him propose three times because she could not tell if he was serious, according to Legacy.

• William Tselepis Jr.

Tselepis, 36, worked at Cantor Fitzgerald for almost 10 years doing trading foreign exchange options. He was known for his loyalty - especially to his hometown of Chicago , being an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife Mary and daughter, Katie, according to Legacy.
