OAKLAND, NJ — Oakland officials have approved two engineering contracts related to the Lenape Lane Bridge, with a combined value of up to $96,500.
According to a public notice posted by the borough, the Mayor and Borough Council awarded both contracts to Boswell Engineering during its Tuesday, Oct. 13 meeting.
The first contract, identified as "Lenape Lane Bridge," has a maximum amount of $28,400.
The second, described as an "Amendment to Lenape Lane Bridge Contract," is worth up to $68,100.
Both contracts were awarded without competitive bidding under a New Jersey law allowing professional-services contracts to be awarded through that process.
The borough's contract award notice does not specify what engineering work will be performed or provide a project timeline.
Residents interested in reviewing the contracts and authorizing resolutions can inspect those documents at the Municipal Clerk's Office, according to the notice.
