Oakland voters can find their Election Day polling places and learn where to return mail-in ballots before the Nov. 3 general election.

OAKLAND, NJ — Election Day is approaching, and Oakland voters planning to cast their ballots in person have three polling locations throughout the borough.

The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the New Jersey Division of Elections.

The borough lists the following polling locations for its eight voting districts.

Voters in Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4 can cast their ballots at the Senior Citizens Center, 20 Lawlor Drive.

Heights School, 114 Seminole Avenue, will serve as the polling location for Districts 5 and 6.

Those living in Districts 7 and 8 will vote at Manito School, 111 Manito Avenue.

Voters can confirm their assigned districts and polling places on their sample ballots or through the New Jersey Division of Elections' polling place search tool.

For those voting by mail, Oakland has an authorized ballot drop box at Borough Hall, One Municipal Plaza, across from the library.

The New Jersey Division of Elections' ballot drop box directory also provides addresses for other authorized drop boxes throughout Bergen County.

The secure drop boxes are under video surveillance and are available 24 hours per day, with completed ballots due by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Another option is to return a completed mail-in ballot directly to the Bergen County Board of Elections at One Bergen County Plaza, third floor, Room 310, in Hackensack.

Ballots delivered in person to the county elections office must arrive by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters returning ballots through the mail must have them postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by the county Board of Elections no later than Monday, Nov. 9.

Voters who still need a mail-in ballot can apply in person through the county clerk until 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.

Mail-in ballots cannot be returned to regular Election Day polling places.

For questions about voting locations, residents can contact the Oakland Borough Clerk's Office at 201-337-8111, ext. 2001.
