OAKLAND, NJ — The Borough of Oakland Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help neighbors with snow removal as winter approaches.
In a Wednesday Facebook announcement, the borough asked community members to assist older adults and residents with disabilities who may be physically or financially unable to arrange snow removal services.
Volunteers can help shovel driveways or walkways, reducing the risk of falls and injuries.
"Even one driveway or walkway can make a meaningful difference!" the borough said in its announcement.
Anyone interested in volunteering can contact the Oakland Senior Center at 201-405-7731 or email seniorassist@oakland-nj.gov.
