Join the Oakland Historical Society at the
2026 Oakland Memorial Day Parade
Sunday, May 24, 1–3 pm
Join the Oakland Historical Society as we take part in Oakland’s annual Memorial Day Parade—a proud community tradition honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.
Organized by American Legion Post 369 and the Borough of Oakland Public Events Committee, the day’s events include:
★ Early Morning Ceremonies: Services at Ponds Church in Oakland and Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah

★ 1 PM: Parade along Ramapo Valley Road, from Dogwood Drive to Veterans Park
★ 3 PM: Memorial Ceremony at Veterans Park
This year’s parade will feature:
– Borough of Oakland Mayor and Council Members
– New Jersey Militia Heard’s Brigade / Revolutionary War Reenactors and Camp Followers
– Seven Marching Bands
– Oakland Fire Department
– Oakland Police Department
– Oakland First Aid Squad
– Scouts
– Humane Society
– Oakland Historical Society
