Healthy Eating with Diabetes Cooking Class at the ShopRite of Oakland

November is National Diabetes Education Month. The statistics are daunting as more people everyday are being diagnosed with this disease. The American Diabetes Association estimates that 18.8 million people have diabetes and 79 million are pre-diabetic. It is thought that nearly 7 million people are walking around today undiagnosed. If you are one of those people or have a friend or family member who is affected, you are not alone and I am here to help you.

I am Nicole Hallissey—As ShopRite of Oakland’s Registered Dietitian, I urge and invite you to register for this free educational cooking class.

Come and learn about various ways to prepare healthful grains, read food labels and incorporate fruits and vegetables into every meal.
