Indoor Famers Market Opening in June
The shopping center storefront is projected to open to customers in June after months of preparation.

There are two Oakland Farmers Markets opening for business next month, but they only share the name.
The Oakland Giant Farmers Market, not to be confused with the weekly volunteer-led outdoor market that will operate on Saturdays through the summer months, is expected to open in June.
The store front occupying a spot in the Copper Tree Mall will be a year-round, indoor farmers market selling both local and imported foods with a focus on high quality, manager Jay Lee said.

"We work under a very low margin, so there's better pricing and higher quality," Lee said. "Everything's fresh."
One of the market's features will be a selection of fresh, whole fish, and the store will also have a sushi department, a florist, and offer catering of both hot and cold foods.

"It'll be a one stop shop," Lee said.
Lee estimated that after about three months of work at the location to prepare for an opening, the store will open to customers in a month.
