North Jersey Man Dies In House Fire
Edward Rossi, 51, died Sunday after a fire ripped through a West Milford house, authorities said.

A North Jersey man died after a fire ripped through his home Sunday, authorities said.
Edward Rossi, 51, was the only person in the West Milford house when a fire was reported there shortly after 9 a.m., said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
West Milford firefighters pulled Rossi, a tenant who lived in the house, from the building and took him to Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, where he was pronounced dead.

Rossi was the only person who lived in the house, Valdes said. No first responders were injured.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, the Passaic County and Bergen County sheriff's departments, the Bergen County Sheriff's Canine Unit and the West Milford Fire Department responded to the scene.

Authorities are still trying to determine what caused the fire. No criminal charges are anticipated.
