Oakland Animal Cruelty Investigation Leads To Drug Charges
Sean Darrigo, 32, was arrested after police found heroin in a house, police said.

OAKLAND, N.J. — A man was arrested after authorities conducted an animal cruelty investigation in Oakland last month.
Officer Bryan Rowin and investigators from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded to a Silver Birch Avenue home Jan. 23, said Oakland Police Lt. Christian Eldridge.
While there, Rowin found evidence of heroin and illegal drug paraphernalia, Eldridge said, which resulted in the arrest of Sean Darrigo, 32, of New Milford.

Darrigo was arrested, charged and taken to the Bergen County Jail, Eldridge said. Eldridge did not specify what charges were filed against Darrigo.
