An Oakland home was devastated Friday afternoon by a fire so difficult for firefighters to overcome that 18 local fire departments were called in to help control the six-alarm blaze.
No one was home when the fire broke out at the 5,000 square foot Skyline Drive home shortly before noon, but two dogs were killed in the fire, NorthJersey.com reported.
The fire left the home uninhabitable, according to the report, and it took firefighters several hours to put out the fire in the $1 million home.
