Oakland Man Had 200 Bags Of Heroin Near School: Police

Andrew Ventimiglia, 45, was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

OAKLAND, NJ — A borough man was arrested Thursday after police found about 200 bags of heroin in his vehicle near a school, police announced.

Officer Mark Piercy stopped a vehicle on Yawpo Avenue. During the stop, police found about 200 bags of heroin and drug-related paraphernalia, said Capt. Christian Eldridge.

Andrew Ventimiglia, 45, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ventimiglia was booked and later released pending a court appearance, Eldridge said.
