Oakland Opens Cooling Centers During Heat Wave This Week: See Where

The area is expected to see triple-digit temperatures this week.

OAKLAND, NJ — Residents seeking relief from high temperatures can take advantage of several cooling centers opening this week in Oakland

In Oakland, the Oakland Public Library (2 Municipal Plaza) will serve as a cooling center from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The Oakland Senior Center, 20 Lawlor Drive, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
