Police Catch Man With Traffic Warrant In Oakland Court

Jose Prudencio, 68, was arrested and released, police said.

OAKLAND, N.J. — A borough police officer spotted a man in Oakland Municipal Court with a traffic warrant out on him and arrested him, police said.

Officer Bryan Rowin noticed Jose Prudencio, 68, in the court and knew he had an active traffic warrant out of the Helmetta Borough Municipal Court out for his arrest, said Officer Christian Eldridge.

Prudencio was arrested and released after an acquaintance posted his bail, Eldridge said.

In related news, a Seneca Avenue resident reported to police several fraudulent transactions on his credit card bill, Eldridge said. A report was taken and the matter was forwarded to the Detective Bureau.
