Ramapo Sensation Taranto Featured in Soccer Doc

Last year Mike Taranto scored 14 goals for Ramapo High School's state championship team before tearing his ACL in the semi-finals.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, MSG Varsity's High School Sports Desk will be airing a documentary piece on Ramapo High School boys soccer star Mike Taranto.

Taranto, who is featured on the cover of the latest issue of MSG Varsity The Magazine, scored 14 goals and had 23 assists for the 22-1 state championship team last year.

Taranto’s season ended abruptly in the semi-finals when he tore his ACL and damage to the MCL in his left knee.

You can watch the spot on High School Sports Desk on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. on the cable channel MSG Varsity.

Taranto is joined by three other New Jersey athletes on the cover of MSG Varsity The Magazine: Jon Germano from Bergen Catholic High School, Daija Griffin from Piscataway High School and Nia Reed from Immaculate Heart Academy.
