Real Holiday Magic

November 20, 2016 saw a family of six make their way to the wonderful Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City. It was a bitterly cold Sunday but, imbued with the magic of Christmas, the family made their long trek to the Big Apple. After parking, bundling up and navigating the city streets, and when the initial excitement and hullabaloo of the three children's exclamations died down, they finally arrived at the famed Radio City Music Hall.

When the tickets were presented, the hearts of all six were shattered to pieces, for on the tickets was printed:

The children had tears in their eyes, and the sadness of their echos and sighs could be heard and felt by those around them. They had missed their magical show and the show was sold out! The drive back to New Jersey without having seen the glorious Rockettes was too horrible to contemplate.

Not a moment later, a stranger stepped up. Having been one of those nearby, engulfed by the sounds of sadness, he had become aware of the family's flight. His explanation: as an employee of the company, I am entitled to free tickets...my guests did not arrive as planned...here you go, you can have these. And with that, the stranger handed them five free tickets. Five! The stunned looks on their faces, and their almost paralyzed bodies, made it clear they were in disbelief at their good fortune. A miracle had surely just happened.

After many smiles, hugs and thanks, and the purchase of one additional ticket from another stranger in the crowd, the family made their way to their Radio City Christmas Spectacular. They enjoyed it like never before, infused with the magic and joy of Christmas, and all thanks to a wonderful magical Samaritan.
