These Ramapo-Indian Hills Teachers Are Among The Highest Paid In The State

A few teachers at Indian Hills and Ramapo high schools make more than $120,000 annually.

OAKLAND, NJ — A few local teachers are among the highest paid in New Jersey.

The state Department of Education released its annual list of teachers' salaries for 2017. The Ramapo-Indian Hills teachers who made the list all make significantly more than the average statewide salary of $70,637, which also includes librarians, guidance counselors, and other non-administrative staff, according to an NJ Spotlight analysis.

The local teachers who are among the 1,000 highest paid are:

  • Angela Manzi, Indian Hills High School, $133,961
  • Joseph Del Buono, Ramapo High School, $123,035
  • Nancy Blomquist, Ramapo High School, $121,512
  • Barbara Duhig, Ramapo High School, $115,477
