OCEAN CITY, NJ — Earlier this month, members of Ocean City American Legion Post 524 traveled to Staten Island to present an $11,000 check to the Tunnels To Towers Foundation CEO and Chairman Frank Siller. The funds were raised by veteran members of Post 524, along with Squadron 524 Sons of the American Legion members.

“This marks the second year in a row that Post 524 has contributed a check in this amount to Tunnels To Towers,” said Post Commander Bob Marzulli. “The Foundation provides invaluable aid to catastrophically injured military, first responders and Gold Star Families, with 95.9% of all donations going directly to individuals.”

The Foundation was formed as a tribute to Siller’s brother, Stephan, a New York City firefighter, who sacrificed his life to help others during the 9/11 attacks. The charitable organization seeks to remind people that even in the face of tragedy, there is hope through kind acts and generosity.
