Atlantic City and Margate were much better off before Big Government, Big Unions, and "Pay to Play" Contractors shoved those dunes down our throats--and the big debt and high taxes to pay for them. Wooden walls, not dunes protected against Sandy waves. Not dunes or anything else could stop flooding from back bay. Damage quickly repaired by next summer season after 1889, 1938, 1944, 1962, and 1990 hurricanes and floods.
