2024 Atlantic City Airshow Canceled: Here's Why
After being saved from cancelation earlier in the year due to funding issues, the Airshow will not go on, officials announced.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The Atlantic City Airshow has officially been canceled for 2024, after a previous save from cancelation earlier in the year.
“We regret to announce the cancellation of the 2024 Visit Atlantic City Airshow due to a major act withdrawing from the Airshow, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber, in association with Visit Atlantic City and the South Jersey Transportation Authority,” said in a joint statement. “This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment it may cause. We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all who have supported this event over the past number of years.”
It was just this past March that rumors began to float that the show would be canceled due to a lack of funding. That was when the South Jersey Transportation Authority jumped in to provide $300,000 to fund the Airshow.

“The Airshow is important. It’s vital to our businesses and casinos,” Mayor Marty Small Jr. said during a news conference with the Greater Atlantic City Chamber and Visit Atlantic City at the time. “Millions upon millions of people have attended over its time, and as Mayor of the Great City of Atlantic City, I wanted to step in and take charge to be a leader to help save the Airshow.”
The theme for the 2024 Airshow was “A Salute To Those Who Serve.” It would have been held Aug. 13 and 14.
