22 People Rescued From Sinking Boat At Jersey Shore: Coast Guard
A good Samaritan brought the passengers to nearby docks for EMS treatment, a coast guard spokeswoman told Patch.

NEW JERSEY - A good Samaritan rescued 22 individuals from a sinking charter boat Monday afternoon near Sea Isle City, officials said.
After The Starfish commercial vessel reportedly struck the Townsends Inlet Bridge, causing a gash in the boat’s starboard hull, the boat’s captain ran the vessel aground near the Sea Isle Yacht Club to avoid sinkage as a few compartments began to flood, Coast Guard spokeswoman Cynthia Oldham told Patch.
The good Samaritan, who remains unidentified, removed passengers from The Starfish and sent them to nearby docks for EMS treatment, Oldham added.
