4 Performances of West Side Story in Ocean City Next Week
Performances are set for July 12, 13 and 14.

Ocean City, NJ -- “West Side Story” comes to the Hughes Performing Arts Center in Ocean City for three performances next week.
The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will hold three performances of the iconic Broadway and movie musical on July 12, 13 and 14, 7:30 p.m. each night. An additional matinee show time on July 14 is set for 2 p.m.
“West Side Story” is the tale of two star-crossed lovers, Tony and Maria, as they struggle to rise above the hatred and intolerance that surrounds them. The show is based on Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”

Leonard Bernstein’s score is considered to be one of Broadway’s finest and features such classics as “Something’s Coming,” “Tonight,” “America,” “I Feel Pretty” and “Somewhere.” The 26-piece professional Pops orchestra will collaborate with OCTC’s cast of performers from New York City for the performance.
Members of the OCTC creative team include Dann Dunn, Director/Choreographer and Jonathan Kreamer, Music Director/Guest Conductor. James Hartman and Peggy Fotusky oversee scenic elements and Muriel Mangual serves as Costume Designer.
