6 Charged With Selling Heroin in Cape May County

The arrests marked the conclusion of a cooperative investigation between the prosecutor and Middle Township Police.

Six people have been charged with selling heroin in Cape May County, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner said Thursday afternoon.

Police executed a court-ordered search warrant at the home of 51-year-old William B. Green in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township on Nov. 2.

The search allegedly resulted in the seizure of an amount of raw heroin equivalent to over 500 bags with a street value of $5,000, along with pre-packaged heroin, crystal methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

In addition to Green, the following people were also arrested:

Brandon P. Strausser, 23 years old of Cape May Court House;

Jesse J. Daisey, 22 years old of Rio Grande;

Allen B. Crouse Jr., 35 years old, of Rio Grande;

Robert Treon, 59 years old of the Villas; and

Tammy Flynn, 49 years old of Rio Grande.

Green, Crouse Jr., Treon and Flynn were all charged with third-degree distribution of heroin, third-degree possession of heroin, and second-degree distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a public Place.

These individuals were processed and released on a summons complaint pending court proceedings.

Strausser and Daisey were charged with second-degree distribution of heroin and third-degree possession of heroin.

Both were lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 full cash bail.

The arrests were the conclusion of a cooperative investigation between the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the Middle Township Police Department.

Anyone convicted of a second degree crime is subject to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Taylor stated that his office will continue to work hand in hand with the local municipalities to target anyone selling illegal ontrolled Dangerous Substances.
