7-Win Streak For South Jersey 'Jeopardy!' Champion

Cris Pannullo's winnings total to more than $220,000 as he heads for his eighth win in a row on Tuesday night.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City's Cris Pannullo is continuing his winning streak. After ensuring that he makes it into next season's Tournament of Champions, he's going for his eighth straight win on the Tuesday night episode of "Jeopardy!"

Pannullo won his seventh game in a row on Monday night, bringing his total winnings to $221,901.

His knack for getting all of the Daily Doubles continued and gave him a massive lead on the Oct. 10 episode, heading into Final Jeopardy with $44,600 while his opponents had $3,800 and $1,600 in comparison.

The Final Jeopardy category was "Brand Names," with the clue "A neighbor's charcoal drawing of Ann Turner Cook at age 4 or 5 months won a 1928 contest to appear in ads for this brand."

The correct answer is "Gerber," which Pannullo answered and wagered $15,221, bringing him to $59,821. The amount was more than any contestant had won in a single game during this season of "Jeopardy!" according to host Ken Jennings.

The customer success operations manager has been called a risk taker by Jennings, who previously compared him to another "Jeopardy!" icon, James Holzhauer.

"I'm not as good as James Holzhauer," Pannullo said.

In his seven episodes, Pannullo was quickly become a fan favorite not just with Ocean City locals supporting one of their own, but with "Jeopardy!" mega-fans as well.
