Amnesty International To Hold 'We Welcome' Event In Ocean City
The event is at the library on Monday night, Oct. 2.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Amnesty International South Jersey will host a"We Welcome" event in Ocean City. The event will bring together different voices as a way to explore what citizens have in common, as opposed to the differences that often separate people.
Three panelists representing different religions will share their views, life experiences and actions that they hope will help create a community that welcomes all during the event on Monday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean City Public Library, 1735 Simpson Avenue.

- Rabbi Aaron Krauss, Beth El, Margate -Lifetime Community Service;
- Rev. Ted Foley, Christ Episcopal Tom’s River -Providing Sanctuary; and
- Professor Mostafa Younesie, Comparative Classical & Medieval Scholar.
Rev G. Douglas Eberly will moderate. The event is part of Amnesty International’s “No Ban, No Wall” campaign, and falls on the 148th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, recognized as the International Day of Non-Violence.
