ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Philadelphia man admitted to shooting two women in the head, killing one and seriously injuring the other.
Gregg Page, 35, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted manslaughter and certain persons not to possess firearms in connection with the 2024 Atlantic City shooting, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The two women were shot in the area of the jetty near Maine Avenue, authorities said. A witness alerted police to the injured women in the morning hours of Aug. 1, 2024.
Kamille Stewart, 31, of Pleasantville, was hospitalized with serious injuries to the head from a gunshot wound that still impacts her to this day, authorities said.
Carley Elbert, 32, of Sewell was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An autopsy concluded the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and manner of death was homicide.
During his guilty plea, Page admitted to shooting both women, authorities said.
The investigation led detectives to Philadelphia the same day of the shooting, where they found Page with a handgun and other incriminating evidence, authorities said.
Two others, who were not involved in the shooting but assisted Page in his flight, were charged with hindering an investigation.
Page faces 50 years in prison. His sentencing is set for June 16, 2026.
