The tram cars travel along 38 blocks of shops, amusement piers, waterparks, bars and restaurants on the boardwalk.
Beginning May 9, the tram cars will run on Saturdays and Sundays through May 17, starting at 12 p.m., according to the announcement. Service will follow the Morey’s Piers schedule, which can be found online. For Memorial Day weekend, service is scheduled from Friday, May 22, through Monday, May 25, starting at 12 p.m. and ending shortly after Morey’s Piers close.
Beginning Thursday, May 28, the tram cars will run seven days a week through Labor Day weekend, from noon until Morey’s Piers close, according to the district. The single one-way fare is $5. The district also said discount ticket books will be sold on the boardwalk during the season at the Tram Car Ticket Office at Cresse Avenue, the Tram Car Ticket Kiosk at 16th Avenue, the Tram Car Store at 21st Avenue and ticket booths on all three Morey’s Piers.
A $13 Hop On Hop Off Wristband, which allows unlimited rides until 5 p.m. on a single day, will be sold on the tram cars and at the ticket office at Cresse Avenue and ticket kiosk at 16th Avenue, according to the announcement.
