WILDWOOD, NJ — A longtime Jersey Shore restaurant will be temporarily closed following a kitchen fire early Monday.
Wildwood and North Wildwood firefighters were dispatched to Duffinetti's Restaurant at about 1:40 a.m. June 15, firefighters said in a release.
A working fire was discovered in the rear kitchen area of the building with heavy smoke throughout, officials said.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes of their arrival, firefighters said.
"Due to the quick response and efforts of the initial companies, damage was kept to a minimum," firefighters said.
There were no injuries.
The Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire to be accidental.
The restaurant will remain closed Monday and Tuesday due to the fire, Duffinetti's shared on Facebook.
Owners plan to share an update Wednesday.
"We are okay!" Duffinetti's said.
