OCEAN CITY, NJ — City Council will vote Thursday on whether to designate the former Gillian's Wonderland Pier property as an area in need of rehabilitation.
The property meets the criteria to earn that designation, according to a report from professional planner Jennifer L. Heller of Polistina and Associates.
Heller was hired by City Council earlier this year to examine the property, also known as 600 Boardwalk.
The report follows a meeting earlier this month by the Boardwalk Subcommittee, which did not give outright approval or rejection of Eustace Mita's proposed luxury hotel ICONA in Wonderland. City Council will vote at the 6 p.m. meeting on June 25. This meeting will be held at Ocean City Music Pier. Video will also be available the next day.
