Golf Fundraiser To Benefit Cape May Co. Animal Rescue

The fundraiser for Beacon Animal Rescue will welcome golfers of all ages, with part of proceeds supporting its mission.

OCEAN VIEW, NJ — Beacon Animal Rescue will hold its third-annual Golf Fundraiser from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at Big Little Nine in Cape May Court House, according to a press release. The nonprofit, volunteer-based animal rescue serves Cape May, Atlantic and Cumberland counties.

The event will take place at Big Little Nine, a par-3 course at 600 Bayberry Dr. that Beacon said spans 89 acres of meadows, willow oak trees, ponds and waterfalls. The course is owned and operated by Morey's Piers and Beachfront Water Parks, which has hosted the fundraiser for the past three years.

"Beacon Animal Rescue cherishes its partnerships with Morey's Piers, both at its annual PigDog Puppapalooza event at the end of summer and now with our golf fundraiser at BigLittle Nine, which is more spectacular than ever thanks to recent upgrades," said Ryan Parker, executive director of Beacon Animal Rescue.

The fundraiser is open to experienced and novice golfers of all ages. The cost is $40 per golfer, with a portion of proceeds going directly to support Beacon Animal Rescue's mission, according to the announcement.

This year's event will also include MudHen Brewing Co., which will be on-site providing beer for golfers. "Having MudHen Brewing Co. on board certainly helps round out what is sure to be another great day of golf," said Parker.

Businesses that want to sponsor a tee or hole can email ryanparkerk9@gmail.com. Golfers can register for the event at BigLittle9.com/events, according to the release.

Beacon Animal Rescue is located at 701 Butter Road in Ocean View. More information is available on Beacon Animal Rescue's Facebook page.
