• Ocean City Pink Hair Movement Supports Cancer Care (shorelocalnews.com) — Ocean City residents are gearing up to wear pink hair extensions this fall to raise money for Cancer Support Community New Jersey, honoring beloved former field hockey coach Mikenzie Helphenstine. With pep rallies, a football game, and the Oct. 10 block party all going pink, locals of all ages are invited to donate, attend events, and show visible support for teens facing cancer.
• Ocean City airport project ready for takeoff with new terminal (shorelocalnews.com) — Ocean City is moving ahead with a $6 million rebuild of its municipal airport terminal at 26th Street and Bay Avenue, with bids opening Oct. 1 and construction expected to start by year's end. The Leon and Elizabeth Grisbaum Terminal will add pilot facilities, office space, a golf-course pro shop, and a public restaurant overlooking the runway, strengthening both tourism and emergency access to the island.
