• Ocean City plans to crack down on motorists plowing through floodwaters (ocnjdaily.com) — Ocean City is preparing a new ordinance that would let police ticket and fine drivers who speed through floodwaters and send damaging wakes into nearby homes and businesses. After September's powerful nor'easter flooded streets and stranded cars on the Ninth Street bridge, Mayor Jay Gillian and City Council members say the measure is about protecting property and improving public safety during future storms.
