• Making Strides speaker fights breast cancer with her feet (6abc.com) — Ocean City will host a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, where Doylestown runner and survivor Jenn Kaliser will serve as the featured speaker. After enduring chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and nearly 160 medical visits, she continues running and walking with Team DetermiNation, whose members are traveling from several states to join her on the Ocean City boardwalk event.
   

• N.J. cross country star sets All-Time Garden State mark at Manhattan University Invitational (nj.com subscription) — Ocean City High School junior Riley Tolson just set a New Jersey all‑time mark at the Manhattan Invitational, running 14:29.4 on the famed Van Cortlandt Park course. Her dominant win helped power Ocean City, currently ranked No. 4 statewide, to a team championship, with several teammates turning in strong performances that underscore the program's depth this fall.
