Inspired by The Phantom of the Opera, the event will turn the historic Ocean City hotel into a masquerade-themed setting centered on mystery, romance and live entertainment. Guests are encouraged to wear masquerade attire or come in creative, funny or scary costumes for the evening.

According to the announcement, the fundraiser will include a buffet, beverages, music and dancing with DJ Christian Chin, tarot card readings, strolling mentalist and illusionist Nicholas Gentry, and a photo booth. The event is being presented as both a Halloween celebration and a fundraiser for the theater company's next chapter.

"This isn't simply a Halloween party—it's an investment in OCTC's future," said Michael Hartman, OCTC Founding Artistic Director. "We are incredibly excited about celebrating our 20th Anniversary in 2027, but we also recognize that a milestone year requires a strong foundation. This event allows our supporters to come together, have an incredible evening and directly help us prepare for what we hope will be our biggest and most exciting year yet."

The organization said money raised from the event will help set the stage for its 2027 season and 20th Anniversary celebration. As OCTC approaches two decades of professional theatre and arts education in the community, the fundraiser is intended to help establish a stronger financial base heading into that milestone year.

The evening also includes sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals. According to the announcement, those sponsorships are another way to support OCTC's professional productions, educational programming and regional theater work.

Tickets and sponsorship information are available at oceancitytheatrecompany.com. OCTC said tickets must be purchased by Friday, Oct. 23. The event is being held under Social Affairs Permit #155596.
