What drove you to seek public office?
I was driven to seek public office by my belief that when parents stay informed, ask questions, and remain actively involved, our schools and students are stronger. I want to strengthen the partnership between school and family through greater transparency, accountability, and parental involvement.
What qualifications and experience do you have that makes you a good fit for this role?
My experience in public, private, and homeschool settings, along with my background teaching students with special needs, has given me a broad perspective on education and the needs of families. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for strong schools, engaged families, and open communication between parents and educators.
What sets you apart from other candidates?
I bring a willingness to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and work toward practical solutions. I believe parents should have a meaningful voice in their children's education, and I am committed to greater transparency, accountability, and decisions focused on student outcomes.
What is the most pressing issue facing the Ocean City School District?
The most pressing issue is ensuring that our schools are delivering the results students and families deserve. We need students who are thriving academically, families who have confidence in their schools, and a district that can attract and retain families. Achieving this requires transparency, accountability, and a strong partnership between schools and parents.
If elected, what will your top priority be?
My top priority would be strengthening the partnership between school and family by making it easier for parents to stay informed, ask questions, and have a meaningful voice in their children's education. I would work to promote greater transparency, accountability, and a focus on measurable student outcomes so families can have confidence that our schools are meeting students' needs.
What is your favorite thing about living in Ocean City?
I truly love running over the 9th Street Bridge every morning. Taking in the ocean and sky reminds me how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful place.
