App Would Help Tourists Find What They're Looking For In Ocean City

The app may be ready for next summer.

Ocean City, NJ -- Ocean City: there’s an app for that.

At least, there may be by next summer after the Ocean City Tourism Development Commission recently voted to move forward with an idea for a smartphone app for America’s Greatest Family Resort, the Ocean City Gazette reports.

The app would be a free download for the iPhone, Android and other phones, and provide visitors with information based on where they are, according to the report.

This would include where to find food and hotels, as well as the relevant tide charts.

It would cost $33,000 to develop the app, and funding for the commission comes from a special assessment that comes from mercantile licenses.
